A video about the Caro-Kann Defense. A good opening for beginners, intermediate players, and advanced players as well. The Fantasy Variation, better than the Advance, Classical, Exchange, and others…

  1. “ we went from 300k to 400k in three weeks” we went from 400k to 4.13mil in 2 years.

  2. The irony is that Levy was relying on f3 to crush the Caro-Kann but when his opponent played f3 it nearly cost Levy the game.

  3. Can you make a video on the HillBillyl Attack?

  4. at 29.23 he could habe taken on the e6 pawn wiith knight, forking queen and rook, while also maintaining the attck on the opponents knight with his pawn. a triple fork. anyways you played fantastically, also the 1700 players

  5. 2 years later and your subscribers grew by x10 🎊🎊

  6. At 17:21, when your opponent took your pawn with their knight, couldn't you move your queen to F6 and mate him/her with your queen to G7? If I'm missing things, please do let me know

  7. Tgx this was my buggest weakness was playing agaimst caro

  8. Jack was legendary. Epic video and epic game

  9. Levi: how to crush with the caro kann. Also levi:how to crush the caro kann

  10. The Caro-Kann is one of my favorite openings. I almost stopped playing it as black because of the fantasy variation

  11. hey gotham im a 700/800 elo player (not that good) and i played the fantasy once and the guy litterly asked me in the chat "Are you cheating" and i said "No, its just what Gothamchess plays"

  12. @ 25.10 Qb6 You mentioned your move vs this is a 4. But the idea was tried in the match Nepomniachtchi vs Ivanchuk 2010. Chucky got the upper hand when he struck in the centre.

  13. @ 25.10 Qb6 You mentioned your move vs this is a 4. But the idea was tried in the match Nepomniachtchi vs Ivanchuk 2010. Chucky got the upper hand when he struck in the centre.

  14. Same concept of the King's Gambit, getting rid of the f pawn early

  15. Love this video! Thanks so much ❤️

  16. Fantasy variation is like blackmar-Diemer gambit but without losing the pawn

  17. Thank you Levy, I won my school chess tournament because of this video. I had a elite caro-kann opponent. Thank you so much

  18. it might be one of the most common, but at my level (1950 lichess blitz) its not once in every 20 games. Most common answer to e4 is c5 or e5, after that possibly e6, then d6 or c6.

How do I know this, you ask… Well, I play e4 exlusivly as white and notice what I play against.

So, Caro Kann is rarely played at my level but it might be the third most played… its just that 95% is e5 or c5

  19. I watched this video when it came out and didn't understand/remember shit from it. Well, now that I'm more solid, I'm finally able to follow along without feeling like an idiot.

  20. youve blundered fantasy variation its ok

  21. You are just slinging good and inspiring knowledge. No wonder you blew up around that time.

  22. Congrats on 400K…. 2 years later +4M

  23. F3 was very nice. Too bad he couldn't hold it.

  24. 1:52 “You’re already much better… you’ve massive Center… you can chase the night away… and black really has no play”.
I didn’t know that Levy was this poetic.
    Possibly neither does he.

  25. levy i had a 100%accuracy game ended in 10moves, this the best thing ,thank you and your the best….

  26. 2 years ago hes thanking us for 400k and now he has 4M. And yes, I came back to this after losing 3 in a row against caro khan

  27. You can’t do this to me..
Do you know how much I sacrificed???

  28. That "f3" move by your first opponent was nasty!!

  29. 3:24 black is down 2 pawns but this is an equal position and if played right by black I believe black is better

  30. Fantasy variation is good, but you beat your opponents because you are much better than them.

  31. By the 7:00 mark, there are at least 5 highly questionable or debatable assertions.
The first game is against a 1700 player, and I don't care how much of a Caro-Kann specialist he may be, I'd be extremely surprised if a player with that ratig understands the game well enough to play a solid example game. But, he actually plays the first opening moves well enough, illustrating one of the debatable assertions made about this opening. A good openings player will notice the similarity to 4 pawns attack of the Alekhine's defense with the major difference of the missing pawns… and the Black QB isn't trapped behind the pawn wall. If Black is familiar with the 4 pawn Alekhine's attack stratagems, he'll probably do really well here, invalidating White's position because fewer drawbacks in Black's structure and setup plus semi-open file has to outweigh the additional open lines for White with the missing f pawn.

I expect the rest of the video is of like quality.
I'll just leave it that Black should have no problems against White with almost any setup he chooses, and this may be an important consideration that White does not force Black in any way.
