Beating Everyone with the Same Opening Trap (Stafford Gambit)

Watch live on Twitch:
This video features 3 games (played in the same day) in which the white side falls victim to the same simple and devious opening trap in the Stafford Gambit. The trap involves a “fishing pole” idea with an early h5 and Ng4. While the Stafford Gambit is not necessarily a sound opening, it is highly venomous. If white is not prepared, then it can be easy for black to win quite quickly!

London Opening 8-hour video course:

  1. Why they didn’t just take queen with the pawn. Why I will never use this stuff.

  2. I have been studying your plays in order to become better thanks for this.

  3. This is the worst opening in all of chess history, since it's influenced so many people to try out a garbage position with zero compensation. Thank you from the White side!!!

  4. He is beating everyone he is beating masters with the gambit OMG that is funny hahahahohoohohogoohoboo

  5. Why didn't the pawn take the queen so it won't be check

  6. If he doesn't castle.. we loose our pawn and a knight?

  7. 😝😝🙅🚀🛸✈️🛫🛬🛩️🚢🛳️🛥️🚤⛴️⛵🛶🏭🏦

  8. I try this but they always go d4 instead of eating the knight at the beginning

  9. From the thumbnail, the conclusion is, knight as a bait, whenever a pawn or a piece capture it, we can recapture and we just opened our rook and with the help of queen long diagonal, the next move white is dead, you're probably wondering, why can't white just make an escape route ?, because when white realize this threat, there is no way to get out of it because the only pawn move that saves white is pinned to the king by the black bishop, but what if white don't take the knight then ?, Same thing, the rook is just to cover that one square where the queen is going to be putted on, the knight covers the same square so if white don't take they're checkmated, also you can block off the diagonal right ?, Yes, but with a couple of maneuvering, white is either surviving with bad position or will be checkmated again

  10. Novice question, what software/platform is this?

  11. Hey so I am not a complete beginner with chess, I'm not that advanced though. Could someone tell me why the pawn can't capture the queen to put the king out of check at 0:29. Thank you, I'm sure It's some simple rule I didn't know but I'm just curious.

  12. That's a stupid Gambit I've ever seen.. u can play with 700 elo but not for me.. Just play e4, e5, Nf3, Nf6, Nxe5, Nc6, Nxc6, dxc6, d3, Bc5, Be2, h4, c3… Play c3>d4 and black lose..

  13. what doesn't make sense to me is, when you move the queen to g3 00:28 and put the king in check, why can't the pawn on f2 just take the queen?

  14. Castling early seems sound in theory but then you've chosen a side for them to target.

  15. Why doesn’t the pond eat queen before the check in 3???

  16. I just tried this is swear in god my opponent fall for it like is nothing🤯

  17. What if knight doesn't take the other knight

  18. I believe that Eric's videos are affecting a lot of online play. People seem to be avoiding playing the obvious moves quite early in the line because they have seen the videos as well and don't want to go anywhere near the trap. Not surprising when you see 5M + views for this video alone.

  19. Pls answer my Question 🙏🙏🙏 on 7:28 why did the white side just slay the queen? F2xG3??

  20. Hey.
Can you tell me why the white pond can’t take the black queen on the board at the 7:30 min mark of this video?
Sorry if it’s a stupid question.

Nevermind I saw the answer in previous comments. The black bishop. Got it. Thanks

  21. Just watching your opponent he’s not doing any thing so you can set up

  22. What's the problem with g3x, black queen from the board. Why Kh1 ?

  23. Sorry, I'm not very bright, but can someone tell me why at 00:24 doesn't white take the knight with his pawn i.e. ph3 x kg4?

  24. Whenever I use these youtube traps I get trapped😑

  25. Any one post the chess notations for this game

  26. 0:29 dumb question, why the pawn at C7 cant eat queen to save the king?
