I am dad I have a daughter she is 6 years old i am 55 years old I want to teach my daughter so can you show me a list of things in chess thank you
Andrew Tate brought me here
I'm only here because I'm working on upgrading from acquaintance to friend with someone, and he invited me to play chess with him. He said he'd teach me, but that's a MASSIVE burden, so I'm learning as much as I can before tomorrow XD
You should've went on with the perfect opening.
Really insightful video, I just began getting into chess, and I definitely soaked up everything you taught! 🔥🙏
Salamat po, kuya. Mabuhay ka!
bro so can the king not kill to get out of a tricky situation, its aggressor?
Levy, I was 1850 in college. Then I didn''t play for decades. Now, in my early 70's, I recently started playing again. But my close-up eyesight is bad and can't be corrected with lenses or otherwise. So I frequently lose my queen and/or other material when I have winning positions against 1200 -1400 players. Totally frustrating. So, as much as I love the game, I'm probably gonna hang up my chess spurs. At least I have your channel to enjoy and can be a fan.
Lost me at 1:20.
Good video 🔥
In Chinese Chess there is no stalemate, its auto lose, also the king is able to check the opponents king. The knights moves in the tetris Z shape instead of the L shape. I believe the bishop equivalent would be the cannon, which needs a mount ( any piece thats directly infront, behind or either side depending on the position of the piece its trying to capture)
similarities of Chess and Chinese Chess is super fascinating.
Yes, Andrew Tate brought me here, so teach me how to play chess! 😂😂
10:16 knight takes bishop
Andrew tate has me inspired to play chess lol

Awesome video. I should’ve tried to get into chess when I was younger
I watched this once when I started chess. Now I am in a phase where I need to watch this again to get my basics right. Because I'm playing a lot of hope chess nowadays.
very clear explanations, found you from Lex's podcast, good stuff
My mom taught me how to play chess and checkers when I was younger, so now I’m trying to re learn how to play both games.
Lots of info on how to move about, but what is the goal. To take all of the other's pieces?
My 13 year old keeps beating me. So here I am trying to get better lol
I’m here not as a serious player, but bc my bf introduced me to the game last night. I’ve always been too scared to learn & never had anyone who even wanted to play or teach me. But now at 23 I’m excited to get some knowledge and battle him (he’s not an expert or anything either lol ♥️)
No matter how many times I watch this video I’ll probably never understand how to play chess
Have you read the book “Marathon Man” by William Goldman? It is very entertaining and also has a character by the name of Levy, albeit his last name.
It's December 1 2022 today 🥳

Thanks Gotham, I first watched this video sometime in March of 2021 as a 800 rated player, it’s been almost 2 years, I’m now 1900 blitz and just got third place at a inter-school tournament.

Thank you 😊 You’re an amazing teacher
Computers and bots don't cheat . People do. That's why I never play people. I'm not smart enough to realize I'm being cheated .
Can anyone tell me what the piece point system is for if checkmates and stalemates decide a game. Is it just for an idea of what good trades are for captures?
I'm playing chess these days with my nephews and I enjoy it, thanks for your video, it helped me.
