  1. When a player is losing and does that spiral, I call it "cascading failure."

  2. Learnt more from this one video than watching Gotham for 2 years. Cheers

  3. Absolutely demolishes opponent.Eric: interesting game by my opponent.

  4. @ 11:45. Anticipating the whites castle, (which may be premature, but probably not), I would move the black knight on D4 to E6 in order to build strength toward a castle on the short side. Yes, you block your bishop, but only takes two moves (one is your pawn in the way of the bishop also), to get that bishop and 2nd knight into the castle attack position of cooperation. Move the knight to C6, and it would take 3 moves (if the castle is made) for it to be effective, and may not do much for the rest of the game. I would rather sacrifice it to break down the castle walls this early in the game with good power left bearing down on the broken castle.

  5. It blows my mind how strong 600 rated players are online. They are basically playing against a decent chess engine (you), and holding their own. Always weirds me out when 600s play as strong as 2000+.

  6. the last guy is never playing that opening again 😭

  7. Please please tell me how does an International Master can pretend to be rated 660 without his brilliance accidentally shining through? That's like an adult pretending to be an infant ,yes he can goo goo gaga for a while but eventually he will slip up and say jeez ,planned obsolescence is really depressing.

  8. You are a humble guy, like most greats. Why do you think you can "teach" someone to become a master? You have it or you don't. What you have is a God given ability, and actually had enough sense to use it. NOT anyone can do it. You are special. Maybe its for a paycheck you tell everyone they can do it. Not being mean here, just respecting who you and others are, masters. From Carpentry to Chess, to Ceramics. NOT everyone could compare just by taking classes, ya gotta have the gift.

  9. Listen : if king pawn moves : on opening by 2 : do you know the white will end fast : depending which color you play : so black play on opening is mistake : so if white starts with king pawn 4 if I was playing black : that is telling a lot of: so I have quiz for you ; if you play black what will be best strategy ? This is quiz .

  10. That third game was absolute savagery hahaha

  11. your videos are helping me so much. i can feel my rating about to go up.

  12. A lot of these players are not as low as what their rating says. Or they also cheat when they start losing.

  13. I always seem to lose because they attack aggressively and now I know I need to watch more of your videos lol

  14. What chess app are you playing on? I would like to download it

  15. "Opponent taking some time here" proceeds to tale way too long

  16. I've never played online but i consider myself pretty good irl. This is the rank where i'd probably start to struggle. Some of these players didn't do any clear mistakes and had nice strategies, Eric was just better at seeing things i think.

  17. The real beginner is he who needs to be instructed on how to answer a beginners opening. But Mr. Rosen seems to be the man for the job, enjoy.

  18. Somehow popped up my feed. The amount of waffling you do with the variations surrounding the pawn, knight and Queen was just 🥱 less waffling considered. Couldn't finish the video as it lacks anything intriguing.

  19. This is great. You explain the moves and I can actually follow along .

  20. Huge fan of this series! Thanks so much for doing this.

  21. The baby Rosen pic is so disarming that opponents will be lulled into thinking they are playing a baby with 600 elo but to their horror realise that it is someone who shows no mercy . 😊

  22. These episodes are not long enough. Please make them longer. Thank you.
