  1. Hikaru is awesome. Wow. What an incredible depiction of such an old yet timeless game πŸ˜› !

  2. Nobody doubts of your powerfull skill playing chess, but you need to explain a little bit slow. If your intention is explain it and wait to people understand, the oposite is a merely monologue. Thanks

  3. I never knew we play the same opening because I never knew you…thanks have met you. I am your fan onwards

  4. The internet is actually insane, can’t believe we get this type of content available to us. Cheers!

  5. That’s really cool!! Thegreat man himself teaches you the opening of a murderer!

  6. Something i dont understand is that the knight completely blocks the bishop so its kinda useless for most of the game

  7. one of the main things which i didnt get is when to play kd7 and when i should play kc6.

  8. I really appreciate how complex hikaru gets with these teaching videos!! Really opens up a whole other dimension on the board

  9. Learning chess with Hikaru is like learning tree felling from a chainsaw.

  10. Thank you Hikaru I love your videos so muuuuch❀❀❀

  11. I just don't understand how this openinng is recommended for beginners

  12. draco? looks more like Cassiopea πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜‰

  13. I feel like quitting chess after hearing this.πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

  14. GREAT HAIR!!!
    Wooh!!!
    Yeah!!!
    Ahhhh!!!πŸ˜‘πŸ˜†πŸ˜«

  15. Unfortunately there is not much value in showing a game where the white bishop and rook stay on the back rank forever. But cool tip about the difference between Nc6 and Nbd7.

Also impressive memory and speed going through the variations but it's a bit too fast for beginners to follow. I am not sure if there is another way to do this. Hikaru's brain is just clocking too fast when it comes to chess.

  16. THIS IS ABSOLUTE GOLD!! for anyone wanting to play the KID this is prolly the best video to understand the basic principles. And you have the best KID player in the world explaining it to you so that does'nt hurt much too.

  17. I have such a difficult time following the speed at which Hikaru teaches. I just feel like I'm not good enough yet to learn from a master like him.

  18. Playback at .75 and he sounds normal

  19. hikaru I love you please adopt me im 23 tho still can be your kid beg you big love <3 (no homo)

  20. thank you hikaru for the free lessons huhuhuhu!

  21. I watched Levy’s King Indian vid before this and then was greeted by all this damn theory and lines. Confusion….

  22. everyone's hikaru when there's am eval bar

  23. My bro hikaru owns this opening so it should rename to kings american -japanese opening: bro thiks he is hikaru variation 😎

  24. I’m rated so low that I try to use theory while my opponent just flies in and takes pieces with no logic or strategy. Screws me up. I gotta get better at spotting pins and forks.

  25. He is on move 14 and 4 at the same time.

  26. I like the grundfeld as a begginer (800-1000 bliz) only because you can switch to a full modern attack half way thru. In fact I normally move into That fast, possibly a pirc defence if needed. But so far so good, I'm definitely no longer a 700 lol

  27. But I like your style too, seems easy to switch to this from grundfield or a modern or hell, a caro kan or French lol. Much love hikaru πŸ’Œ

  28. gift me a chess premium membership πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  29. If learning on bullet were a thing.

  30. Hikaru is the only person that I would let trade mark the "welcome back everyone".

  31. Hikaru's teaching method: you can do this because of this, you can't do this because of this, you can do this because of this, you can't do this because of this. Enjoy.

  32. Learning a year later. Cheers πŸ‘πŸ‘

  33. This is not just any video it's done by one of the or 'the' leading expert on this opening. Thanks for giving it to the community and the internet for posterity.
