The Aimchess Rapid is the 8th of 9 events on the $1.6 million 2022 Meltwater Champions Chess Tour and takes place on chess24 from October 14-21. The 16-player field will be cut in half by the 4-day round-robin Prelims. The total prize fund is $150,000, with $750 for a win and $250 for a draw in the Prelims. The quarterfinals and semi-finals are 1-day, 4-game matches, while the final will feature two such matches over two days.

The players have 15 minutes for all their moves, plus a 10-second increment starting from move 1. In the Prelims there are 3 points for a win and 1 for a draw. If a tiebreak is required the players will play two 5+3 games and then, if needed, a single Armageddon game, where White has 5 minutes to Black’s 4, but a draw counts as a win for Black. No draw offers are allowed before move 40. Official website: chess24.com/tour

  1. if you're not William Davies Evans, dont play the evans gambit..

  2. That move cut like a scissors. …from Ireland.

  3. Aw. Was hoping Evans would give a beautiful win
But a respectful try from Arjun

  4. Your dog heard "evans gambit" and didn't wanna miss it

  5. Always a bummer when your favorite openings are destroyed.

  6. Maybe not the greatest opening in chess really because it did not work against the black😁😅

  7. My wife always call you "wheelchair man" because she always see you sit down. Im gonna show you this clip helping meadow to surprise her haha. Sorry 4 bad english, regards from México.

  8. Does Medo's name have a meaning? Is it the same as english Meadow?

  9. Can we get a video where Medo sits right next to you and reviews the game along with you ?

  10. Agadmator: "… the Evans Gambit!"
    Medo: "ARooO?"

  11. Arjun must have learnt from u🤣🤣🤣

  12. He is as weird as humans… Lol😂🤣😅💯

  13. Didn't Shak lose against Evan's gambit at the last rapid and blitz WC? Nice to see him get one back against the greatest opening 😂

  14. From 0:35
Who are all searching the dog & missed few moves in the game …

  15. Man I love you brother I finally beat the champion 💪💪💪 at my job I got put on second shift for 3 months and they finally put me back on third shift this Man was eating everyone like PAC Man would eat Dot's but I finally got him and I owe it All to you and your channel thank you brother

  16. A technical complaint: In the last videos your face has been out of focus.

  17. Thumbnail was quite the opposite of the result of the game…….lol

  18. That dog knows more about chess than 99 percent of the human population by osmosis. Love the channel!

  19. And finaly Evans Gambit was defeated…Mamedyarov play very well this tournement…

  20. When black moved pawn to b5, why didn't white a4 pawn capture it

  21. I've seen his first video, when he was nothing. Now take a look at his room, he had a lot fancy stuff in the background, he is rich man now.

  22. I remember playing a game last year against Steinitz. He was playing as white and tried the Evan's, but I rudely moved my bishop and laughed at him, which angered and rattled him heavily, as not only did he feel mocked, but he hadn't planned for me to decline the gambit and didn't have any prep for the move I made. By move 30 his position was totally busted and his clock was down to 0:03:17 while I still had 30 minutes left. He resigned and slammed the pieces before storming out of the building. Easy win honestly, Wilhelm isn't that great, at least compared to me

  23. I played the Italian a lot when I was younger, obviously only being in middle school and not really even a good player I didn't know what it was called, I just liked le development of my bishop to c4 putting pressure on the f7 square. More recently, still playing the Italian, I learned about Antonio's love of the Evan's, so it was the first gambit I thoroughly analyzed. Now I'm pretty good with the Italian/Evan's, as I know a lot of lines and can play theory in depth of a while. It's definitely my strongest opening and a pretty simple one at that, but one that yields a lot of fun games. I hardly go for the Ruy Lopez, as why do that when you can play something so much better?

  24. Arjun did what I was thinking of. Nf5 is a positional move to blockade the pawn, unfortunately it loses to the tactical move that Mamedyarov found.

  25. Agad describing Medo. "He's a weird dude. I asked him if he wants to come in…no, but now he wants to…" Fabulous entertainment!

  26. after …Qa2, why wasn't Ne3 possible to block the bishop going after f2?

  27. Arjun watches your vids bro xD He just knew you'd show this game
From now on I'll call it antonios gambit

  28. Agad: are you coming? I'll record a new video.
    Medo: nah, I'm good.
Agad: hello everyone, we will analyze an Evan's gambit game…
Medo: yo, why you didn't say it in the first place, let me in

  29. B4 should be always played in slow motion on this channel

  30. Erigaissi cannot beat Mamedyarov by Evan's gambit

  31. Medo wanted to come in once he realized the Evans Gambit was on the board.
