The Aimchess Rapid is the 8th of 9 events on the $1.6 million 2022 Meltwater Champions Chess Tour and takes place on chess24 from October 14-21. The 16-player field will be cut in half by the 4-day round-robin Prelims. The total prize fund is $150,000, with $750 for a win and $250 for a draw in the Prelims. The quarterfinals and semi-finals are 1-day, 4-game matches, while the final will feature two such matches over two days.

The players have 15 minutes for all their moves, plus a 10-second increment starting from move 1. In the Prelims there are 3 points for a win and 1 for a draw. If a tiebreak is required the players will play two 5+3 games and then, if needed, a single Armageddon game, where White has 5 minutes to Black’s 4, but a draw counts as a win for Black. No draw offers are allowed before move 40. Official website: chess24.com/tour

  1. Medow is very spoiled. He interrupts his Dad when he is at work. Bad boy.😁

  2. Arjun was in a playable position for longer with Evan's gambit than Anish or Rapport lasted lol.

  3. Why you don't make a time stamp for the arrival of Medo, he deserves it for his dedication to the Evans Gambit. 😔

  4. Shahk didn’t sacrifice a piece?🤨🤨

  5. Agadmator: Medo you want to see this game?

    Medo: idk

Agadmator: This game features the Evan's gambit

    Medo: LET ME IN!

  6. Agadmator announces that the game features the Evans Gambit, and Medo wants to come into the room immediately.

  7. Medo was like, ohh wait, it's Evan's gambit, so have to watch it. So please let me in😂

  8. Interesting game, did not expect the end when black win the game

  9. Why the white pawn on A4 does not take on B5 ?

  10. I play the immediate …d5!? in response to the Evans. It was popular in the 1800s. I have had good results.

  11. 9:43 – Doesn't knight to e3 work? Queen protects a pawn, knight blocks bishop attack on f2 pawn.

  12. It's about time the Evan's Gambit was shown some love

  13. Very nice geam and thanks for iraq..good job shake

  14. Im teetering with leaving cause of long starting ads. I loathe yt's creeping ruination.

  15. Evan's Gambit is the weakest opening that has ever been

  16. Could you please do that game where Arjun defeated Magnus

  17. Arjun after seeing Shakh's performance in this tournament be like: "Evan's Gambit or nothing!"

  18. Such a shame that there was a winning line or at least a very good line for white in the Evan's but Erigaisi didn't find it the correct knight move… Still who can be mad at Mamedyarov for playing so beautifully?

  19. Who wants to see some games by Andrew Tate's father?

  20. Medo's time management is improving; he was less than a minute late.

  21. Next time Medo should just wait when there are important matters to be discussed.
I mean the Evan's Gambit of course.

  22. how is it possible that GM-level chess is never a capturefest from move 1? i can't seem to get out of the 800-rating because that's all i ever encounter are players who just want to capture for no reason.

  23. Agad is happy like a Dad seeing his kid after a while.

  24. The only way to respond to a gambit is to accept it.

  25. medo heard you say Evans gambit so he wanted to watch lol

  26. Medo: Me don't wike chess. All sorta wild animals on board
    Antonio: Okay then get out
    Medo: FINE

    Few moments later

Medo: Woof. Did you say Evans Gambit?

  27. Medo heard you say the evan's gambit and decided to come watch this glorious game

  28. Maybe the first time I see Agadmator putting the loser pic as thumbnail. But that's for a good reason that Arjun played the Evan's gambit.
